Project Abstract
The SAGE Framework is a modular, asset-first state management engine for on-chain games built on Substrate. It introduces a state-transition model, where all game state is stored directly on assets, and all gameplay events (evolutions, battles, trades) are processed as transitions — consuming and creating assets. This eliminates the need for complex game-specific state management, making it easy for developers to build flexible, composable game economies while retaining full auditability and transparency on-chain. By decoupling asset transitions from game-specific logic, SAGE assets can evolve beyond gaming, enabling use cases like programmable digital identities, on-chain loyalty programs, and cross-game economies.
