### OpenGov Deposits

A submission deposit is needed to store a proposal's preimage. On Polkadot, the submission deposit is around [42 DOT](https://polkadot.js.org/apps/#/preimages). An origin-dependent decision deposit is also needed to enter the decision period of a particular referendum (see below).
