Main Components

  • Phase-preserving kinematic variable preprocessing via gaussian process smoothing (MAP estimates of a gaussian random walk)
  • Determine periods of activity and inactivity by subselection
  • Linear (and corresponding nonlinear) filters relating ball and neuron variables (in both directions)
  • Behavioral mode decomposition across ball variables
  • Linear filter, linear nonlinear, behavioral mode, etc., predictions of the response variables (outputs)
