This repository contains shared schematic resources for the Wilson Lab. These files are intended for internal lab use and collaboration, ensuring consistent and high-quality visuals across presentations, posters, and publications.
All members of the Wilson Lab are encouraged to:
- Use these schematics in their scientific figures.
- Create variants of these schematics to fit their needs.
NOTE: Please avoid altering existing schematics (e.g., fonts, arrow styles, or colors). If you do make edits to an existing schematic and would like to share them with the lab, please upload as a separate file where the name reflects the contents to make browsing easy.

- fly_side/topview: isolated fly
- fly_arena: side/top view of fly in standard VR arena
- fly_parts_body/visceral: highlighted external/internal body parts
- fly_behavior_vignettes: series of fly actions (e.g., landing, eating, escaping, etc)
All schematics in this repository are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
You are welcome to download, use, and modify these materials — both within and outside the Wilson Lab — for academic and creative purposes. We ask that you please provide credit by attributing this repository (e.g., "fly body schematic adapted from Wilson Lab") and/or the paper said material was found in (e.g., "fly VR schematic adapted from Collie et al. 2025).
