This is an implementation of the cross-platform serial library that does not use Boost's asio library for serial I/O, but instead uses a platform specific implementation model. This is in the hope that finer control of how reading and writing events are handled and finer control on serial port specific functions are handled (like handshaking lines and flushing the serial port, etc...).
