geoboundaries data pull issue

Hi, when I tried to pull adm0 shapefiles for certain countries (e.g., MWI, BDI, BEN), it returned error " the file doesn't seem to exisit).

Here's the code I used: rgeoboundaries::geoboundaries(country = "MWI", adm_lvl = "adm0")

We are experiencing a DDoS (or something similar) right now - I have a ticket in with Github to try and find out what's happening.

Same issue here as well. The code below:

# Install the package from GitHub
remotes::install_github("wmgeolab/rgeoboundaries")

# Load necessary libraries
library(rgeoboundaries)
library(sf)

# Fetch administrative level 0 boundaries
mli_sen <- gb_adm0(c("Mali", "Senegal"), type = "sscgs")

returns the following error:

Error: Cannot open "/vsizip//tmp/RtmpDwlCaz/geoBoundaries-MLI-ADM0-all.zip/geoBoundaries-MLI-ADM0_simplified.shp"; The file doesn't seem to exist.

I hope to have this resolved no later than Tuesday; I am in contact with GitHub to see what can be done, and will be moving the files to a repository hosted on premise as soon as possible to remove this as a weak point.

Hi all - I am putting a temporary fix in place this weekend, so things should start working for you again (as of now). Presuming the attack (or rogue script :) ) continues, things may be a bit unstable, as every time we exceed our network egress threshold I have to click a button in GitHub. My hope is to have things moved local onto our on-prem systems early next week so this won't be an issue going forward.

No worries at all - it looks like whatever was happening has subsided for now, so I anticipate we'll be fine until I can get alternative file serving arrangements live.
