Sorry to hear about the trouble here, and appreciate y'all doing the work to figure out a good message to post.
Overall this looks good. I do wonder if it makes sense to try and hold the meetup next month, to make it look like things aren't totally closing up shop? I obviously wasn't in the call, but seems like a pretty low effort way to have something as a "next step" for the announcement.
