The macOS arm64 Mach-O binary at e2e/c/run_tests (blob 95511c1, last touched in 94601d1) was checked into git. On Linux CI, GNU Make saw the existing file as up-to-date by mtime and skipped the gcc rebuild, causing ./run_tests to fail with "Exec format error". Drop the tracked binary and add e2e/c/.gitignore so future local builds re-emit it without retracking. The e2e/ tree is already covered by the top-level pre-commit exclude. alef does not currently emit this .gitignore, and its manifest only tracks files it owns — so no alef-hash header is needed (and adding a synthetic one would be misleading). Follow-up: bundle this .gitignore into alef generate --lang c (tracked as task #63).
