Simple Broadcast tools For Linux (sb4l)

sb4l is a very simple broadcasting tools with Shellscript and Python.
This tools works, require other open source softwares and libraries.

Required Software

• ffmpeg 1.2 or later (compile with librtmp, libfaac and libx264)
  • https://ffmpeg.org/
• Gstreamer 0.10 (not support 1.0, but scheduled supports)
  • http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/
• v4l2loopback 0.6.1 or later
  • https://github.com/umlaeute/v4l2loopback
• guvcview (recommended latest repository revision)
  • http://guvcview.sourceforge.net/index.html
• Python 2.7 (without 3.x)
  • http://www.python.org/

Required Python libraries

• gst-python
  • http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/modules/gst-python.html
• PyGtk
  • http://www.pygtk.org/

Setup

(In Debian)

$ sudo apt-get install python-gtk2 python-gst0.10 gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-base gstreamer0.10-plugins-good guvcview v4l2loopback-dkms v4l2loopback-source

Usage

$ ./prepare

# ... 1. Setup webcam and desined video stream.
# ... 2. Setup the broadcast on nicolive, ustream, ...

$ ./broadcast <rmtpuri> <stream>
