Description

Added the Matte Black Theme, a sophisticated dark theme for Zed editor with a matte black aesthetic and carefully tuned syntax highlighting.

Theme Details

Features

  • Matte black background (#1A1A1A) for reduced eye strain
  • Carefully tuned syntax colors for all major languages (TypeScript, Rust, CSS/SCSS, etc.)
  • High contrast ratios for excellent readability
  • Minimalist design optimized for focused coding sessions
  • Distinct bracket colors for better code structure visibility
  • Italic keywords and comments for visual distinction

Files Added

  • extension.toml - Theme metadata and configuration
  • themes/matte-black-theme.json - Complete theme definition with syntax highlighting
  • README.md - Installation and usage instructions
  • LICENSE - MIT license

Testing

Theme has been tested and verified to work correctly in Zed editor with proper syntax highlighting across multiple programming languages.

Furthermore, we already have an extension with the matte black name: https://github.com/tahayvr/matte-black-zed. It would be good if you could distinguish your theme a bit more from that other theme if possible, Thanks!

- Renamed theme to Matte Black Pro Theme for better distinction
- Updated theme description to highlight minimalist design and professional focus
- Upgraded theme schema from v0.1.0 to v0.2.0 for latest compatibility
- Maintained original color scheme and visual characteristics

You still need to add this as a submodule as outlined by the documentation
