Summary

  • SHARED_GID_MIN/SHARED_GID_MAX 도입 — add_group이 이 대역에서만 gid를 배정

/kube_share/passwd yoon6yo:21000 csuhyeon:21001 dongmin0204:21002
/kube_share/group yoon6yo:21000 csuhyeon:21001 dongmin0204:21002 testgroup:21003:yoon6yo

  • _allocate_next_uid — passwd 파일만 본다 (provision.py:1301)
  • _allocate_next_gid — group 파일만 본다 (provision.py:1317)

2. 대역 배치 (ops/proposed-stack/uid-ranges.yaml)

operation 21000–49999 70000–79999
noprobe 50000–54999 80000–84999
full 55000–59999 85000–89999
baseline 60000–64999 90000–94999

3. add_group의 명시 gid 경로 검증 추가 (main.py)

4. primary_exists 판정 강화 (lifecycle_steps/provision.py)

5. 배포 전 겹침 검사 (ops/proposed-stack/stack-up.sh)

  • Infra — config-server 이미지 교체 + Helm 값 2개 추가(accounts.sharedGidMin/sharedGidMax).

CI(Linux)에서는 통과
  • bash -n ops/proposed-stack/stack-up.sh

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Added dedicated shared-group GID ranges, separate from personal user ID ranges.
    • Added configuration for shared GID minimum and maximum values.
    • Shared groups now receive IDs from their assigned range, with clear errors for exhausted or out-of-range values.
    • Stack deployment checks now detect overlapping user and shared-group ranges.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Improved group consistency checks and rollback behavior when account or group records conflict.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Changes

The config server now allocates shared groups from a dedicated GID range. Helm and stack configuration pass the range to both deployments. Provisioning detects mismatched primary-group entries and rolls back account creation. Tests cover allocation, range checks, UID/GID separation, and conflicts.

Shared GID allocation and validation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Shared GID allocation
config-server/Chart/templates/_helpers.tpl, config-server/Chart/values.yaml, config-server/main.py, config-server/tests/test_gid_band.py
Adds shared GID settings and environment variables. Automatic group allocation uses the shared range. Explicit GIDs outside the range return GID_OUT_OF_RANGE; exhausted ranges return GID_RANGE_EXHAUSTED.
Primary-group ledger validation
config-server/lifecycle_steps/provision.py, config-server/tests/test_gid_band.py
Account creation rejects group entries that match only the primary-group name or GID. The failure uses GROUP_WRITE_FAILED and removes the passwd entry.
Stack range declarations and wiring
ops/proposed-stack/uid-ranges.yaml, ops/proposed-stack/stack-up.sh
Defines shared GID bands for each stack. Checks overlaps with local and sibling UID/GID ranges. Passes the bounds to Helm and prints them in the completion output.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win

Check the reciprocal UID-to-shared-GID overlap.

These checks reject this stack’s shared GID range against a sibling UID range, but they do not reject this stack’s UID range against a sibling shared GID range. Deploying the current stack can therefore pass validation with a UID band that collides with an already declared sibling shared GID band. Account creation then fails when the primary-group conflict check rolls back the affected user.

Add the reciprocal comparison.
