  • No new functionality, just improving the exiting functionality so it can be called finished without hesitation. As proof host the CRASS challenge http://crass.grand-challenge.org/ on the comic framework. CRASS is a very basic project, only pages, downloads and sign up functionality. Hosting this challenge still means a number of existing features need to be improved and polished

  • The next big milestone after an initial release will have the opportunity to upload algorithms and have them run on the server, on the available images. This will lead to a number of challenging technical requirements, but it will also bring *a lot* of new possibilities, e.g. to add new images and re-run all algorithms on those, to try out algorithms on data of one’s own (without necessarily publishing the data or the results), or uploading evaluation algorithms, for instance.

  • The first version of comic we want to go public with. Is functional and looks correct from the outside. Inside, the admin interface is usable but need not be totally streamlined. For admin, we do not need blogger-like security and hack-proofness yet. People with admin rights can be anyone in the consortium and trusted others. see https://github.com/comic/comic-django/wiki/Implementation-planning
