FilterSpoon: Quick-Access Editor for NeverSink/FilterBlade Lootfilters
-
rebuilt from scratch & re-enabled for PoE1 (support for PoE2 will come shortly)
-
this feature is still somewhat "experimental" (because lootfiltering is a complex aspect)
-
can be accessed via the menu-widget or by holding down a modifier-key (default: ALT) and pressing the omni-key over an item
-
menu-widget: opens either the starting page or the last page you viewed
-
omni-key: opens a new search specifically for the item you're hovering over
-
-
the editor is built around using the online filters on your account (teal filters in the in-game menu)
-
this makes it easier to keep base filters up-to-date, and it streamlines general usage
-
I'm open to implementing support for local filters (if there are genuine advantages)
-
-
the rest of the release notes covers only the core use-cases of this feature: there are style and economy options that will not be highlighted here (the help tooltips within the tool should be self-explanatory)
- EDIT: the wiki page will be updated with additional info at some point
FilterSpoon: Setup
-
this feature needs to be enabled in the settings menu first
-
hold down ESC to open the menu-widget, then click the FilterSpoon icon
-
a window will pop up and ask you to open the in-game lootfilter list and check for the "FilterSpoon" entry
-
after closing the pop-up, a basic UI with a drop-down list will open:
-
select your desired base filter from the list to finish the initial setup
FilterSpoon: General Usage
-
the editor uses two main colors (default: light & dark blue), and anything with the darker color is clickable or has an info-box
-
currently, the editor can be used in two different ways:
-
in the 2nd screenshot, you can see how search results are divided by dark blue bars: these show how the filter is divided into types/groups and how those are further divided into tiers
-
both types and tiers can be individually collapsed (in case you're doing broad searches and need to sift through the results)
FilterSpoon: Use-Case Scenario
scenario: you find a single fusing and decide you no longer want to pick those up
-
hold down the modifier-key and omni-click on the orb of fusing to open the editor and search for the exact filter-rule
-
from here, you have the option to hide
the entire filter tier -
if there are items within that tier that you still want to pick up, it's better to move fusings to a tier that's already hidden: click
orb of fusingto see more options- simply move it to one of the hidden tiers, and you'll no longer see dropped
1x and 2xfusings
- simply move it to one of the hidden tiers, and you'll no longer see dropped
-
while using NeverSink filters, you may have noticed that higher stacks of currency have extra highlighting: this has implications for this use-case scenario of hiding fusings
-
if the value of fusings has dropped so low that you don't even want to pick up higher stacks, you'll have to modify additional filter rules
-
you can right-click items in the search results to start a "global" search for that item: this is the same as manually searching for
"item name"(as shown previously when omni-clicking and manual searching were compared)
