Basic Usage

MicroMap aims to be fairly simple and straightforward (unlike some of my other modules, admittedly). It does provide some customizability, however, available from the usual Game Settings window.

Many of these options should be self-explanatory, such as the dimensions and position settings.

Image Mode

Easily the most pertinent setting is MiniMap Image Mode, which can be set to either Image or Scene.

Image allows you to specify a static image to use for the minimap.

Scene will let you select a scene to display in the minimap.

Scene rendering mode can display a scene other than the one that is currently active, but does come with some restrictions. See Scene Rendering for more detail.

MiniMap Shape

There are a few options available for the shape of the minimap -- Rectangular, circular, diamond, and an image mask. Each of these settings will mask the minimap image (but not the overlay), and are sized to fit the dimensions specified. As such, "circular" is really more of an ellipse if the minimap is set to non-square dimensions.

Overlay

The minimap can be configured to show an image on top of the map image itself. This is generally useful for adding a border to the minimap. See Overlays for more detail.

Padding

The padding setting is a number of pixels from the edge of the window the minimap will be placed.

Interactions

The minimap can be panned and zoomed by clicking and dragging and mouse wheel, respectively. There are also some convenience features implemented via context menu when right-clicking on the minimap itself.
