What do you do if the worst happens, and the Pinyin Toolkit guesses your reading wrong? Are you meant to type the whole thing manually yourself, adding tone marks and colors? Record the audio yourself? Surely – there must be a better way.
There is – smart reformatting. If you type ordinary pinyin (with tone numbers) into the reading field of your fact, we’ll go ahead and reformat it according to your preferences. What’s more, pinyin typed into the audio field will be automatically turned into a series of appropriate “[sound:]” tags just as you would get from the audio readings feature.
