Fuel Calculator

This overlay shows the fuel consumption, indicates when to pit and calculates how much fuel to add. It can also automatically set the fuel to add for you when entering pit lane (OFF by default).

Remaining

This section of the overlay shows how much Fuel is left in the tank and how far we can go in terms of Laps and Time based on the recent consumption.

Note: The Laps Remaining estimate considers the Fuel Reserve setting (0.5 liters by default). This means that a value of 1.0 while crossing the finish line estimates that you have exactly 1 lap of fuel left before hitting the reserve, so expect to cross the line on the next lap with 0.5 liters left and a 0.0 laps estimate.

Pit

The green Window indicator lights up when the pit window is open. This means that you can pit early and still make it to the end of the race with the same amount of pit stops.

The yellow Box indicator lights up when it's time to pit this lap, otherwise the car will run out of fuel on the next lap.

The Add field shows how much fuel to add to make it to the end (or to the next stop). The value will be negative when no stop is needed and there is extra fuel.

Note: The calculation for fuel to add does not use the recent consumption average, but instead uses a percentile (65th by default) of the whole consumption history. This ensures that a recently low consumption would not cause an underestimation of the fuel needed.

Consumption

Last is the consumption of the last lap.

Avg is the recent average consumption (last 3 laps by default). This is used to estimate the Laps Remaining and Pit Lap. As your recent consumption changes, the estimate will change.

+1 Lap is the target consumption needed to be able to pit one lap later than currently estimated.

Options

See the benofficial2 plugin options to access all the options affecting the fuel calculations and to turn ON Auto Fuel.

You can also hide parts of the overlay if, for example, you don't need to see the fuel remaining because you have it on the Dash Overlay.

Setup Fuel Calculator

This overlay shows up only when in the garage / setup screen and tells you how much fuel is needed to put in the setup to start each session. Supports heat races and will determine if the race is limited by time or laps when both are specified. Useful for leagues that have a custom race length.

A blinking Fuel Warning lights up when you're about to grid with an under-fueled setup. Never start a race with a qualification setup again!

Note: The options affecting the fuel calculations (extra consumption, extra laps, etc.) are shared with the Fuel Calculator.
