  • 收集系统诊断信息,数据来源:sys.metrics以及直接查询一些表获取数据写到临时表中再加工处理输出,会更新performance_schema的threads、setup_consumers、setup_instruments,会调用sys.sys_get_config()获取sys schema配置、sys.ps_setup_disable_thread()关闭connection_id()线程、sys.ps_setup_save()保存sys schema配置等等一些列相关的sys schema对象,会修改sql_log_bin = 0,执行select ...@@variables_name形式查询一些全局系统变量,查询information_schema的ENGINES、TABLES、GLOBAL_VARIABLES,查询information_schema的GLOBAL_VARIABLES、replication_*表等,查询mysql的slave_master_info、slave_relay_log_info等,然后把这些查询到的值保存到一个临时表tmp_sys_views_delta中进行一些数据处理再输出

    • 需要SUPER权限,因为该存储过程在执行期间会在会话级别修改sql_log_bin系统变量禁用二进制日志记录
    • 在MySQL 5.7.9和MySQL 5.6中新增。对于MySQL 5.6,需要MySQL 5.6.10或更高版本。对于MySQL 5.7,需要MySQL 5.7.9或更高版本
  • diagnostics()存储过程收集的数据包括以下几个方面

    • 来自sys schema中其他一些视图的信息,如:sys.version、sys.processlist、sys.latest_file_io、sys.memory_by_host_by_current_bytes、sys.memory_by_thread_by_current_bytes、sys.memory_by_user_by_current_bytes、sys.memory_global_by_current_bytes、sys.schema_object_overview、sys.metrics、sys.with_runtimes_in_95th_percentile
    • 来自ndbinfo schema中的信息(如果MySQL server是NDB Cluster的一部分时会查询ndb相关的信息)
    • 复制状态信息(包括主从的一些信息),直接从相关表中获取:mysql.slave_master_info,mysql.slave_relay_log_info,mysql.slave_worker_info,performance_schema下的replication_* 表
    • 此外,还调用了一些存储过程(协助diagnostics()过程获取数据、执行语句、备份和恢复配置信息等),如:sys.statement_performance_analyzer()、sys.ps_setup_save()、sys.execute_prepared_stmt()、sys.ps_statement_avg_latency_histogram()、sys.ps_setup_reload_saved()、sys.ps_setup_enable_thread()
  • 在diagnostics()存储过程执行时打印的信息中,视图输出的信息中有些是基于初始值计算、有些是基于总体值计算、有些是基于增量值计算的:

    • 初始视图(start视图):指的是在diagnostics()存储过程开始执行时执行的视图,用于存储过程开始执行时收集数据。输出值与增量视图的起始值相同且输出值也用于增量视图。如果diagnostics.include_raw配置选项为ON,则diagnostics()存储过程执行时才会包含初始视图,另外执行时也会同时打印sys.metrics视图的原始数据(与在临时表中经过加工处理后再输出的值不同)
    • 总体视图(end视图):指的是在diagnostics()存储过程执行结束时执行的视图,用于存储过程结束执行时收集数据。输出值与增量视图的结束值相同且输出值也用于增量视图。在diagnostics()存储过程执行时总是包含总体视图
    • 增量视图(delta 视图): 包含从diagnostics()存储过程执行的开始到结束的之间的差值的视图。最小值和最大值分别是从end 视图中获取的最小值和最大值。delta 视图不一定需要精确反映监测期间的最小值和最大值。除了metrics视图之外(因为该视图的实现本身是基于MySQL固有的统计变量做计算的),增量值仅在第一次和最后一次输出信息之间计算差值
  • 参数:

    • in_max_runtime INT UNSIGNED:以秒为单位的最大数据收集时间。使用NULL值时会使用默认值,默认为60秒,否则,请指定一个大于0的值
    • in_interval INT UNSIGNED:以秒为单位的数据收集间隔时间。使用NULL值会使用默认值,默认为30秒。否则,请指定一个大于0的值
    • in_auto_config ENUM('current','medium','full'):要使用的performance_schema配置。允许的值为:
      • current:使用当前的instrumetns和consumers设置,不做任何修改
      • medium:会开启一些instruments和consumers配置(开启除了 '%_history%'之外的所有consumers、开启除了'wait/synch/%'之外的所有instruments的采集项和计时器功能),修改前会使用临时表来保存当前的配置,当diagnostics()存储过程执行完成时会使用临时表中的配置来进行恢复,两个工作又两个存储过程完成:sys.ps_setup_save()、sys.ps_setup_reload_saved()
      • full:启用所有instrumetns和consumers设置
      • 注意:
        • 启用越多的instrumetns和consumers设置,对MySQL server性能的影响越大。要注意medium设置,尤其是full设置,对性能的影响很大。另外,使用medium和full设置值需要有SUPER权限
        • 当该参数不为current时,无论medium还是full值,都会在threads表中开启除了执行该存储过程的当前线程之外其他所有线程的监控功能
  • 配置选项(这里指的是与sys_config表相关的配置选项),可以使用以下配置选项或其相应的用户定义变量修改diagnostic()的操作行为

    • debug,@sys.debug:如果此选项为ON,则产生调试信息输出,默认为OFF
    • diagnostics.allow_i_s_tables,@sys.diagnostics.allow_i_s_tables:如果此选项为ON,则diagnostics()存储过程会在INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES表上执行表扫描。如果有很多表,该操作可能比较耗时,默认为OFF。详见2.2.1. sys_config表 小节
    • diagnostics.include_raw,@sys.diagnostics.include_raw:如果此选项为ON,则diagnostics()存储过程输出信息中包括sys.metrics的原始信息输出,默认为OFF,详见2.2.1. sys_config表 小节
    • statement_truncate_len,@sys.statement_truncate_len:format_statement()函数返回的语句的最大长度。超过该配置选项值长度的语句将被截断,默认值为64。详见2.2.1. sys_config表 小节

                * The initial view is the content of the view at the start of this procedure.

                  The initial view is included if @sys.diagnostics.include_raw = ''ON''.
                * The overall view is the content of the view at the end of this procedure.
                  This output is the same as the end values used for the delta view.
                  The overall view is always included.
                * The delta view is the difference from the beginning to the end. Note that for min and max values
                  they are simply the min or max value from the end view respectively, so does not necessarily reflect
                  the minimum/maximum value in the monitored period.
                  Note: except for the metrics views the delta is only calculation between the first and last outputs.
             
             Requires the SUPER privilege for "SET sql_log_bin = 0;".

             Versions supported:
                * MySQL 5.6: 5.6.10 and later
                * MySQL 5.7: 5.7.9 and later

             Parameters
             -----------

             in_max_runtime (INT UNSIGNED):
               The maximum time to keep collecting data.
               Use NULL to get the default which is 60 seconds, otherwise enter a value greater than 0.
             in_interval (INT UNSIGNED):
               How long to sleep between data collections.
               Use NULL to get the default which is 30 seconds, otherwise enter a value greater than 0.
             in_auto_config (ENUM(''current'', ''medium'', ''full''))
               Automatically enable Performance Schema instruments and consumers.
               NOTE: The more that are enabled, the more impact on the performance.
               Supported values are:
                  * current - use the current settings.
                  * medium - enable some settings.
                  * full - enables all settings. This will have a big impact on the
                           performance - be careful using this option.
               If another setting the ''current'' is chosen, the current settings
               are restored at the end of the procedure.


             Configuration Options
             ----------------------

             sys.diagnostics.allow_i_s_tables
               Specifies whether it is allowed to do table scan queries on information_schema.TABLES. This can be expensive if there
               are many tables. Set to ''ON'' to allow, ''OFF'' to not allow.
               Default is ''OFF''.

             sys.diagnostics.include_raw
               Set to ''ON'' to include the raw data (e.g. the original output of "SELECT * FROM sys.metrics").
               Use this to get the initial values of the various views.
               Default is ''OFF''.

             sys.statement_truncate_len
               How much of queries in the process list output to include.
               Default is 64.

             sys.debug
               Whether to provide debugging output.
               Default is ''OFF''. Set to ''ON'' to include.
