  • rtph264pay config-interval=1: repeat SPS/PPS every second so receivers can join mid-stream (previously a decoder attaching after stream start never got the headers and could not decode).
  • x264enc speed-preset ultrafast (was medium) with bitrate 2500 kbps: medium ate most of a CPU core at 720p on embedded boards, dragging the lockstep sim real-time factor (and thus the effective camera FPS) down.
  • appsrc caps framerate 5 -> 30: downstream elements pace/buffer by the declared rate, so it must not be below the camera sensor update rate.
