This is not really the lenght of the robot, but the distance between the rear and front wheel axles. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheelbase . In the SingleTrack (or Bicycle) model, which is a simplification of the ackermann structure, it's the distance between the rear and front wheel.

Feels like we don't need both w and phi, since they are related to eachother by the wheelbase. Also, the struct probably should be renamed as "AckermannControls" (if w is removed and v and phi are left).
