Hi, There are multiple release tracks, currently two of them. Humble is released from 2.x.x, while Jazzy and Rolling get releases from 3.x.x. If you have look at our [releases] page you will find all releases sorted by the date they were published. The latest release for Humble is 2.7.0 which doesn't contain the tool contact controller, yet. That has been merged to the Humble branch just after 2.7.0 was released. If you want to use that for ROS Humble, you'll have to compile it from source (from the humble branch!). In that case, you will also have to build the client_library from source, though. I think, we can make a new release for Humble, though, including the tool_contact controller. Released versions take a while until they are available in the main, stable repositories, which is why you still see 2.6.0 through apt. I hope, that answers your question? |

Thanks for the response! I will work with a source-built version of the library for now, but a version for Humble with the tool_contact controller would be great, as certain libraries we are using on this project require us to stay on that distro of ROS. |

Hello,
I am developing some software for our UR5e bot using this driver software, and see that 3.2.1 had a release, which includes the Tool Contact Controller, which will be extremely helpful for our use case. We are using ROS2 Humble for our software, and I see that the current version listed by apt is 2.6.0. Is there a timeline for this update being released for install via apt, or should I just build from source for now?
Thank you,
Brandon Solon
