Learning Objectives

  • This level serves as an introduction to entangled states, wavefunction collapse, and correlations in measurement outcomes.
  • The player is challenged provided a device that generates pairs of entangled qubits and a single measurement component. By measuring one qubit from each entangled pair players can observe that the other qubit also collapses into a pure state (contingent on the measurement outcome of the paired qubit).

Solution

  1. One qubit from each pair is measured then conditionally flipped (identical to level QI.E) to produce the desired +Z eigenstate.
  2. The second qubit from each pair rotated -90° (conditional on the measurement outcome of the first qubit) to produce the desired +Z eigenstate.
