Combined dsstats and SC2Arcade Ratings

Combined ratings use both dsstats replay uploads and public SC2Arcade match data.

Why combine them?

SC2Arcade provides broad public lobby match history and results. That helps estimate player strength even when no dsstats uploader was in the game.

dsstats uploads provide details that SC2Arcade does not have, especially commanders, builds, replay-player data, leavers, and replay-derived details.

Together they create stronger player and commander statistics than either source can provide alone.

Strengths

  • More games for rating context.
  • Better strength estimates for players who appear in public lobbies.
  • Commander-aware stats from dsstats replay data.
  • Leaver-aware handling from replay information.

Limitations

  • SC2Arcade public match data starts on 2021-02-01.
  • Private lobbies are not fully represented in SC2Arcade data.
  • TE games are often private, so TE ratings rely more heavily on dsstats replay uploads.
  • Imported match data can contain missing or incorrect matches.
  • Combining data can produce small inaccuracies, especially for individual players with limited data.

For commander stats, the combined dataset is still much stronger than dsstats uploads alone because it improves team-strength context.
