Dynamic change of particle properties

Does Newton currently support, or are there any plans for supporting, dynamically changing the physical properties of particle materials? For example if I want to simulate the robot interacting with highly hygroscopic materials, these would change their behavior in time becoming more clumped and sticky, Would it then be possible to change the adhesion level of the particle system depending on the simulation step?
