- Bob R to check header file for identifier for AI16
- WD04 will be the next version containing a range of updates
- Michelle noted email from Phillip L noting the hash could be used to determine strength
- Tim H & Bob R noted that this did not appear to contain the required information without parsing the material to determine sufficient specifics to work it out
- Michelle to update HSS proposal to add digest strenght used to generate top level keys
- Tim H suggested that this still may be insufficient
- Further discussion on how one determines how many keys used & remaining
- Agreed new attribute required to identify keys remaining (attached as an ayttribute of the private key)
- Bob R suggested that we do not need to know the signature strength as we can use the digest strength
- Tim H queried if this was sufficient
- Bob R suggested that we just use a smaller list of params referencing the IETF spec rather that specifying everything. The downside is that an application would need to parse information. The other approach is that we need to specify all attributes in pkcs#11 but if we do that, we need to maintain a mapping to outside specifications.
- Bob expressed concern about referencing moving definitions (references/identifiers) in a header file
- Discussion is summarised by the need for the TC to make a choice to either reference other specifications that define the blob or specify all of the parameters in the PCKS#11
- Tim provided a link to LMS numbers https://www.iana.org/assignments/leighton-micali-signatures/leighton-micali-signatures.xhtml
- Tim H to provide a write up to complete the minutes - see email thread https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/pkcs11/email/archives/202103/msg00013.html
