To customize a Celera Assembler spec file using a setting not exposed in the UI:

  1. Run a job using the Celera Assembler workflow.
  2. Download the spec file or copy from the job data file; both portions of the workflow generate their own spec file.
  3. Edit the spec file and place in a location that is visible to the compute nodes.
  4. Create a new Celera Assembler job using the new spec file(s) in the protocol settings.
