I'm trying really hard to get my cost of materials down. I still can't properly identify the really nice, flexible plastic that seems to work the best (the stuff with the blue protective sheet). I had thought it was styrene, but that seems to be much harder than this stuff. I've experimented with Dura-Lar, Acetate, and Clear-Lay transparencies. None of them seem to work nearly as well -- the holograms aren't as bright, and the distortion of the material by the compass is substantial.
