    • Has some conflicts/comments that need addressing

    • Looks ready to merge, but needs to wait for #493?

• Issue 500: Integrate prebuild tests into capgen CI

Standard names

• Issue 42: Want Github Action to ensure standard names are following character rules
  • Have started work on this, hopefully PR soon
• PR 43: Fix typo in standard names
  • Merged, Mike K will work on getting correction into ccpp-physics and elsewhere
• PR 44: Adding atmospheric composition variables for JCSDA needs

Brief summary: Francis has created an abstract class for chemistry variables in CAM, in a way that CARMA and MAM can both connect to CAM. Currently, there are MAM dependencies in CAM, and vice versa; this work is eliminating those dependencies in both ways. Currently implemented in the Radiation/Optics and Cloud Aerosol parts of the code, will eventually be throughout CAM, and should eventually be host-agnostic. When it is finished, hopefully it (or something like it) can be adopted by CCPP framework, perhaps in the same way that the capgen constituent properties are implemented.
