CCPP Framework

  • Testing refactor (#612)
    • Michael working on addressing further review comments
    • Will meet with Courtney on further documentation of what the tests are doing
    • Will also need to be merged up
  • Capgen in SCM: DDT subfields into group caps (#640)
    • Dustin to respond to Courtney’s small request, Dom to review after
  • Detect invalid horizontal dimensions in metadata for host and schemes (#659)
    • Also fixed tests because we were using the wrong dimensions in some of the tests
    • Turns off block data test because it’s irrelevant and conflicts with dimensioning requirements on host side (will also remove the block data code in separate PR)
    • Always horizontal_dimension on host side
    • Dom will be out of town next week - Michael K, Courtney, and Dustin to review today

Discussion

  • Dom - had to change CMakeLists testing changes for LLVM compilers in NEPTUNE
    • Would be nice if we could get #612 (refactor) merged soon so we can refactor the current code and avoid conflicts
    • Also changes on ccpp-physics side
      • Will open PR to NCAR/ccpp-physics main branch when he gets back
  • We will meet next in 3 weeks (June 12)
