CCPP Framework
- #622 - constituent index lookup
- Needs courtney approval; she will do that today
- #637 - differing source and module name
- Courtney to review
- Fortran_to_metadata script has issues with constituent properties ddt
- Fix included in #644 (which also needs a Courtney review)
- Current intel compiler does not allow >255 subset arguments
- Dustin to try Courtney’s fix, then they’ll go from there
- Testing refactor #612
- Considering cleaning up command line interface tests (fewer of these)
- Considering changing whether we return a comma-seperated list (current) or a newline-separated list (proposed)
- Dom agrees that breaking into multiple lines works best
- Michael to open a discussion
- DDT subfields in group caps (#640)
- Builds on top of #637 - will come out of draft when that one is merged
Standard Names
- CCPPStandardNames renamed to ESMStandardNames!
- Continued work on https://github.com/ESCOMP/ESMStandardNames/pull/87
- Michael K reached out to Ann Tsay & hasn’t heard back yet
- Jesse chatted with Steve Goldhaber - NorESM is planning to adopt CCPP
- Will be >1 year before they start
- Should add someone on governance (maybe Steve!)
Discussion
- Dom - cleaning up extra flags in ccpp-physics; will work with Michael W
- May have impacts to the framework
- Next week will be a standard names meeting
