September 2015 Morning Status Meetings
This page contains a brief summary of the status of the Xolotl development team each morning during the month of September 2015.
Ozgur - Working on SRIM output. Discussing the advection paper.
Sophie - Finishing a first implementation of different fluxes on different parts of the grid, it will be possible to cut the material in different "media" in the Y direction.
Sophie - Looking at what happens when the diffusion is removed on the grain boundaries. Installing PETSc like Barry suggested, without using --prefix.
Ozgur - Reading paper about modified trap-mutation. And working with UQTk on their examples.
Ozgur - Working on the MCMC example of UQTk. Continuing to read the modified trap-mutation paper.
Sophie - Working on having a different flux and advection in 2D and 3D with the moving surface.
Sophie - Getting helium concentrations from GB simulations to compare with Karl. Testing massif on Eos.
Ozgur - Working on using outside data on the UQTk example and reading about modified trap-mutation.
Sophie - Plotting results from the new modified trap-mutation for (211). Trying bayesian inference with legendre polynomials on SRIM data.
Ozgur - Implement Legendre Polynomials in UQTk and test it at different orders.
Sophie - Figuring out a way to remove the diffusion on the grain boundaries.
Sophie - Implementing no diffusion on GB in the advection branch.
Ozgur - Testing the difference between legendre polynomials and classic polynomials in UQTk. Reading the trap-mutation paper.
Ozgur - Reading the paper that was submitted to JCPM. Trying forward propagation of uncertainties with UQTk.
Sophie - Implementing no diffusion on GB in the irregular grid branch.
Sophie - Finishing the implementation of the no diffusion on GB, getting new helium concentration data to compare with Karl. Looking at Danqing scaling data.
Ozgur - Continuing to read the JCPM paper, and working with UQTk and forward propagation.
Ozgur - Working on getting energy data from krypton SRIM data.
Sophie - Getting data to compare with Karl. Fixing Jenkins.
Sophie - Comparing preliminary data from Xolotl with Karl's data. Looking at threshold displacement energy in Tungsten.
Ozgur - Writting python codes to obtain the vacancy distribution induced by Krypton in Tungsten.
Ozgur - Reading about ion stopping in matter. Using it to refine the python scripts to get vacancy distribution from Krypton.
Sophie - Looking at the difference with GB when the Y step size changes. Plotting comparisons to Karl's data.
Sophie - Checking out the difference in run time between PETSc with static or dynamic libraries. Finishing plotting comparisons with Karl's data.
Ozgur - Looking at how the modified trap-mutation is implemented in Xolotl, and listing all possible values for the displacement threshold energy.
Ozgur - Starting to run Xolotl to reproduce modified trap-mutation results. Writing a short report on threshold displacement energy of tungsten.
Sophie - Looking at why Xolotl with GB and y step size of 0.5nm is not working on Eos. Testing on of Danqing simulation case with a grid of 1448x1448.
Sophie - Implementing the attenuation of the modified trap mutation in the irregular grid branch. Still investigating why Xolotl with GB and y step size of 0.5nm is not working.
Ozgur - Continuing to run Xolotl to reproduce modified trap-mutation results. Writing a short report on threshold displacement energy of tungsten.
Ozgur - Completing the figures reproducing the modified trap-mutation results. Continuing to study threshold displacement energy of tungsten.
Sophie - Looking at GB results using the attenuation of the modified trap-mutation. Starting test Xolotl for weak and strong scaling.
