Unable to read VR Path Registry #1013
-
|
I followed the installation process and I am doing the quickstart part of the documentation to get familiar with Maniskill. However, when executing the task, I encounter the following error "Unable to read VR Path Registry from C:\Users<my_username>\AppData\Local\openvr\openvrpaths.vrpath". I have looked inside the "Local" directory and found that I have no directory called "openvr". Since I have followed the installation process, I don't know why there is this error. Is there anything I have missed so that this "openvr" directory is created? Can anyone help me? I am doing this on Windows 11. |

I have found this issue referring to the same problem: #740 So I believe something is not functioning on Windows with --shader="rt-fast"? This message still appears "Unable to read VR Path Registry from C:\Users<my_username>\AppData\Local\openvr\openvrpaths.vrpath" but SAPIEN does not collapse immediately any more. |

I think you can ignore this. We support wired VR headset connections through sapien for low-latency teleoperation (code is still being cleaned up and open sourced), which is what openvr is for. If you can't run the simulator let me know. |
