General Topics

• NCCL CI (Gabriel)

  • UBI9 Image (kind of like RHEL)
    • Carl will add NCCL to the UBI9 image as a first try
  • Carl will merge NCCL PR, and then Gabriel will do follow-up to run tests

  • Gabriel will check with CEA, if they are free, move series to Thursdays at same time

  • Stream Triggering interface in MPI
  • Functional implementation with persistent sends/recvs on Tioga (MI250X) and Tuolumne (MI300A)
  • How could this be integrated into Kokkos Comm
    • Stream-Triggered persistent Send/Recv
  • Foresee (/ already experienced) problems with sharing NIC resources between multiple processes and/or communication backends
