Space Invaders

Space Invaders is a classic fixed-shooter arcade game. Waves of alien invaders descend from the top of the screen while the player's cannon moves along the bottom. The player shoots upward to eliminate all aliens before they reach the bottom or shoot the player. A difficulty mode toggle is available on the title screen.

Controls

• Left / Right buttons: Move the cannon horizontally.
• Select button: Fire.
• Encoder knob: Also moves the cannon.

Gameplay

• The player starts with 3 lives.
• Aliens fire back at the player — up to 3 enemy bullets can be active simultaneously.
• Clearing all aliens advances to the next wave at increased speed.
• Mode: EASY / HARD toggle on the title screen — saved persistently.

Scoring

Score increases with each alien destroyed. A high score is saved between sessions.
