According to some data, the Sumerians are associated with the Hurrians and Urartians, and the Caucasus is considered their homeland.262728, coming via the Samarra culture.
Sumerian’s grammatical profile is agglutinative and ergative, a structure it shares with the Hurrian and Urartian languages, as well as Uralic. Persian has some features of agglutination.
Other languages that use the ergative case are Georgian, Chechen, and other Caucasian languages, as well as Basque, Burushaski in Pakistan and Tibetan. Among all Indo-European languages, only Yaghnobi, Kurdish languages and Pashto from the Iranian languages and Hindi/Urdu, along with some other Indo-Aryan languages, are ergative.
