• Share things that should be on our radar (timelines, which ECP App this impacts)

Discussion Topics:

• VTK-m update (1.7RC) process + timeline
  • VTK-m RC new branch will be created on 10/14
  • File tickets on gitlab if there are issues
  • There will be a big issue for the release itself, add details there
  • Cyrus and Eric will push this forward
• Ascent Tutorial (in the next few weeks -- Univ of Oregon interested)

Issues:

• WarpX Cuda Vol Rendering Crash: https://github.com/Alpine-DAV/ascent/issues/825
• UMS (User Managed Software) space on Summit will allow us to have non purgable installs
• User facing issues:
  • Field Names Published vs Fields in Code (chicken and egg issue) - Ascent's Field Filtering can help
  • Iterating on Actions in YAML, some folks are using containers + jupyter.
  • Add detailed about published mesh to info
• AMRWind Discussion (Cuda Linking - Univ of Oregon is going to dive deeper into the issues on 10/15)
