Agenda

• We are ready for 0.9.0 release:

  • Great Amalgamation Progress -- Done!
    • Expressions + RAJA PR is in
    • Dir org refactor is done
  • Devil Ray Low Order work is in (not leverged yet in Ascent)
  • Basic caliper support is in (we haven't annotated parts of Ascent yet)
  • Babelflow branch merged with new features, babelflow re-enabled in CI testing

• VisIt will use VTK-m directly instead of VTK-h, so Ascent doesn't need to support VTK-h use in VisIt.

Discussion Topics:

• Nicole discovered a crash related to saving Meta data
• Victor @ ANL reported a crash related to compositing -- Cyrus has a dataset from Victor
• Nicole has been working on Auto Slicing (provide a normal + # levels, and it hunts for the slice for the highest entropy)
• Nicole is working on getting a very large sim extract from WarpX
• VTK-m first 2.0RC is being released week. Major release will have big changes (removed APIs and rework of CMake targets, etc)
• KPP3 Discussion
  • Demo: Contour, Threshold, Slice, Isovolume, Rendering
