2023/2/08 Meeting

Agenda

  • 0.9.0 was released
  • Cyrus is working on Windows support for a follow on 0.9.1
    • Addressed issues with using posix headers
    • Refactored web assets into conduit base64 described resource strings, with a twist for windows.
    • Working on a few build issues in TPLS: MFEM, RAJA

Discussion Topics:

  • Pele + GenTen folks are running on Crusher with some Data from Frontier, and suspect Blueprint HDF5 output serializing writes across processes. (Cyrus needs to investigate)
  • VTK-m 2.0 release, needs a fix for Perlmutter (Cuda 12) -- this will be in 2.0 release, and if Ascent needs fixes we can address with a patch release.
  • Meghanto as been running ARM Wind + Ascent with HIP, but is seeing crashes.
  • Meghanto has a python extract that creates GLTF files, and he has been using this with isosurfaces.
