• AV documentation - documentation/tidying still to do. Documentation needs to be put on somewhere safe wiki (Jake)
• More workshops - 3D-printing workshop had some attendance. Mike looking to run some electronics workshop. Jake and Jackie to do braiding workshop. Need to work out how people can pay for workshop - can they use the DoES eventbright account for that - decision is yes.
• Optimism: Adrian worked on some email "stuff" - not finished yet.
• Tap to pay: looking for old phone to use for that.

TEAM UPDATES

3D Printing

Jackie reports: Marcus is still broken. The Ultimakers are getting a lot of use. Terry to liaise with Chris H about what it was he did when he tried to fix it last.

Laser

Mike reports:

• No known issues on Shiela. note from @DaveBenji - issue #2089 re Sheila computer replacement
• Gerald still not cleared for use due to intermittent laser firing. Marked as "don't" use
• Tony okay.
• Laser cutter offered from Make. Looks to move a week on wed or week after. Will need six to eight people, early evening (6pm). Gerald will need to be gone. Will raise ask for help on google group. Then once in place need to find out what is needed to make it work.
• Still need to find time to process Karl for Birkenhack
• Sophia needs a new bed mechanism - about three to four hundred pounds. Fixing will be several maker nights worth of work.

Fibre Arts

• Thanks to Andy for fixing industrial sewing machine
• Accessibility issue with door not closing - bag was left behind door in a position that stopped it opening properly

Notes:

• There are three vinyl cutter related issues for labelling the toilets. Jackie to teach Terry and Jake how to use vinyl cutter.
• Network issue for laser cutter room needs updating
• We have reward t-shirt outstanding as an issue for 7 years, is it time to close that.
• Wall of names: Adrian to update ticket, downgrade from engraved brick to fancy acrylic, and ask Seán for list of names.

  • Rates changes happened but not a big change yet
  • Slight profit for month but generally holding steady right now
  • Still looking to get more members
• Future Gazing Day: Theme/Date
  • Todo pick a date for this. Maybe alongside other events or is that too busy?
  • Topic suggestions open. Jake wonders can we get submissions from members ahead of time. Use google group?
  • Todo: chat for Adrian and Jake
  • Discussion on now we can reach the entire membership. Google Groups is the main way currently.
• Liverpool MakeFest
  • At last Makefest existing board stepped down and want to hand over to DoES - we need to decide if we want to do that.
  • Perhaps for after future gazing day?
  • Current expression of interest is: Michael Jackie Mike and potentially Dan (not here)
  • Adrian and Chris H met with library, and know there is a new Denise at Library.
• Christmas Party
  • Need to find volunteers to organise it.
• DoES Liverpool in a Box
  • Jackie took a museum in a box and bits from DoES to Transition Towns Liverpool event.
  • There is a DoES museum in a box account
  • Needs a set of things with tags and audio added to the account
  • Similarly for a slideshow of images to put on a laptop
  • Jake to mock up some business cards

Any Other Business

• Mike reports: Make looking for advice on setting up a maker space in Huyton. They might look to attend a maker night here.
• Chris reports: Can there be antennas be put on the roof? We previously had tentative approval, but can we check with Jason if we can do that. What antennas would that be? About TV antenna size. TODO: Jackie to message Jenny.
