Effect Galaxy

Rotating spiral arm sweeping outward (or inward) from a center point, like a galaxy or pinwheel.
| Parameter | Type | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Center X | slider | 0-100 | Horizontal position of the galaxy center, as a % of buffer width |
| Center Y | slider | 0-100 | Vertical position of the galaxy center, as a % of buffer height |
| Radius (Start tab) | slider | 0-250 | Inner radius of the spiral arm at the center |
| Width (Start tab) | slider | 0-255 | Thickness of the spiral arm at the inner starting point |
| Angle | slider | 0-360 | Initial rotation angle of the spiral arm, in degrees |
| Radius (End tab) | slider | 0-250 | Outer radius of the spiral arm at the edge of the galaxy |
| Width (End tab) | slider | 0-255 | Thickness of the spiral arm at the outer ending point |
| Rev's | slider | 0-10 | Number of full revolutions the arm wraps around the center; more revolutions make a tighter spiral |
| Head Duration | slider | 0-100 | % of the effect time the leading head of the spiral is visible, controlling how quickly it appears/disappears |
| Acceleration | slider | -10 to 10 | Adjusts the animation speed curve; positive accelerates toward the end, negative decelerates |
| Reverse | checkbox | true/false | Reverses the direction the spiral arm rotates |
| Blend Edges | checkbox | true/false | Fades the spiral arm edges smoothly with alpha blending instead of hard edges |
| Inward | checkbox | true/false | Draws the spiral from the outside inward instead of from the center outward |
| Scale To Buffer | checkbox | true/false | Treats radius and width values as percentages of the buffer size rather than absolute pixel values |
Settings are organized into three tabs in the effect UI: Start (Center X, Center Y, Radius, Width, Angle), End (Radius, Width, Rev's), and Options (Head Duration, Acceleration, Reverse, Blend Edges, Inward, Scale To Buffer). Note that "Radius" and "Width" appear on both the Start and End tabs, controlling the inner and outer ends of the spiral arm respectively.
All sliders support value curves and are lockable across effects.
Use Blend Edges for a smoother, glowing arm, or disable it for a crisper edge. Increasing Rev's tightens the spiral into more of a pinwheel; keeping it low produces a single sweeping arc. Toggle Inward to have the arm collapse toward the center rather than expand outward, and use Reverse to flip the rotation direction.
